OL are now up to second in the table and have been absolutely brilliant since the start of February. In total, Bruno Genesio’s men have won 9 of their last 12 matches, often playing some great football in the process. It could be argued they’ve played as good as PSG during this run. Even in the matches they failed to win, the chances were there to collect all three points. The equation is Continue reading
A run of 4 losses in 5 games and seven defeats in their last ten have moved Reims back inside the relegation zone. But all isn’t lost because GFC Ajaccio have two extremely tough matches remaining, and Toulouse are still three points behind. Reims go to out of form OM next week and that’s a very winnable fixture for them, as is this one facing Montpellier. It’s interesting that the Champagne side Continue reading
The Normandy outfit have been safe for a while now but aren’t ending the season particularly strongly. In total, Caen have lost 4 of their last 7 games and only won once during this period. Overall, it’s been an excellent campaign for Patrice Garande’s men but if they aren’t careful then their good finishing position could be jeopardised. In fairness to Caen, they have face a lot of sides in need of points recently, but that won’t be the case so much here. The hosts have an interesting Continue reading
Les Merlus look safe now after having reached the 43 point mark, but just 1 win in 7 games hardly has them in great form. It’s been a struggling campaign for Lorient in which defence has often let them down. It’s rare this team keeps a clean sheet and it’s a constant achilles heel. Here at home they usually have a good go and are unlikely to suddenly change t Continue reading
All bets advised on Friday night won, apart from the smaller punt on Dallas which failed terribly! Here for today are links to my previews below. Any bets are highlighted pink and today I have much more on my radar. Some previews will be posted up later in the morning.
ESTAC finally won a home match in their last fixture here. They put up perhaps their best performance of the season by beating Reims 2-1, but you suspect that’ll be their last pinnacle this season. That win was followed by defeat at Montpellier last week in which they got beaten 4-1 by ten men. Troyes have nothing left to play for now except pride and will be looking forward to the summer when they can finally Continue reading
There’s absolutely no doubt that Monaco are stuttering. The hosts have only won 2 of their last 8 games which simply isn’t good enough if they want to finish in the top three. Already they’ve lost second spot to Lyon and might slip down as far as fifth at this rate. Something just isn’t right with them and too many draws have been incredibly costly. Too many times they relied on ‘just doing enough’ to pick up the required result Continue reading
